I've noticed pop-ins as well but that's not as distracting to me as _frame_rate issues and visibly broken graphics. Is there a some sort of graining effect in the graphics options? I seemed to recall turning that off because I didn't like how it looked and I've since heard reports that this increases framrates.

Well you can kill people in Oblivion and steal there Gold , that's not a cheat ,that's actually a game component, it just so happens that if you kill Dorian and make sure the guards don't see his body and go to his body and remove all items except for gold, then exit and search his body again for gold , you'll notice that when you now take his gold, the gold doesn't disappear in volume, so you just keep picking it up. There's rumors that this is actually an easter egg made by a developer, but considering they removed it with the update ,maybe it's not an easter egg, or they felt it wasn't a valid easter egg. Either way , you can kill people in Oblivion for gold, rob items from there houses and pickpocket them. Just so happens Dorian in Imperial Palace, happens to be a millionaire. So go pay him a kindly 'visit'..(wink wink) I don't understand why anyone would even need this cheat. I've never particularly found myself wanting for weapons or armour in Oblivion. Gold is really only useful at the very lowest levels (when some of those really expensive swords and armour pieces available in some of the shops are still better than the stuff you can find or make on your own). And, even then, it's a lot more fun to just go out there and adventure than to worry about every gold piece. I mean, if you're really into making money, just join the thieves guild and go on a stealing spree. No need for an exploit, really. I found the cheat very useful, furnishing and buying your houses can be very expensive, I ended up buying every house in Oblvion and furnishing them with every possible item. I spent 300 hours in Oblivion and still collected tons of weapons and armor. Having that gold doesn't mean you don't have to collect stuff, that's not the point. Again 300 hours and I didn't worry about gold ever , I just collected stuff, Oblivion's major game component is hoarding and finding the next , better and new item. It was half the fun of the game , collecting stuff and selling it. Why would I worry ? makes no sense since the major component of Bethesda's games involve exploration and finding items and side missions. To think that I just got that gold and sat in my house in Anvil is crazy, it wasn't about 'making money' , you missed the point. The houses can get expensive look at the house in Bravil , cost of house 4,000 and the upgrades cost 3,900, that's 7,900 just for one house. Looks at the house in Bruma costs 10,000 and the upgrades cost another 9,900 House in Cheydinhal 15,000 and the upgrades another 15,000 House in Chorral 20,000 upgrades another 19,400 Leyawiin 7,000 upgrades another 7,000 Skingrad 25,000 upgrades 24,000 And if you wanna upgrades the BattleHorn castle it will cost you 15,000 Vile Lair 15,250 for upgrades FrostcraigSpire 8,500 Imperial City -Vinicia's house 2,000 upgrades 2,000 Theives den Dunbarrow Cove upgrades 5,500 That's nearly 1/4 of a million dollars just for buying and furnishing all of those houses. 208,450 (if my math is correct) I agree you don't NEED the cheat , but its very useful IMO. of course there's free houses in Oblivion ,but I bought all of the ones for sale and opened by quests. Then there's the PAINTBRUSH glitch (fixed by the update) You can make ladders out of paintbrushes and climb shit, almost uselss , but its fun when you've exausted every DLC and new items in Oblivion. Also there's a duplication glitch which can be useful , AGAIN though is any of this needed ? NO , but PC get's mods and we consolers get glitches, its fun and who cares , it won't by any means make your game less hard or less easy. It's just kool IMO and can enliven a game after you've spent 300 hours exploring every nook and cranny Oblivion has to offer. If this glitch allows you to buy stuff you wouldn't normally have been able to buy before, if it speeds up the process of acquiring possessions beyond what the designers intended, then isn't it mak (ing) your game less hard? I understand your point that you still can do all this other stuff, but the glitch most certainly accelerated certain processes from what you've described. But, hey, some people like to cheat and others like to do things the right way. To each their own.
