What was the first 3D game? Until recently I believed it was Wolfenstein 3D. Well, not really! It is the first famous DOS 3D game. But there were others before, like Ultima Underworld: The Stygian Abyss , released only a couple weeks before. There were also several other games released for different platforms, like Apple: Elite, Alpha Waves, Starglider, Starglider 2, and 3-Demon. It also depends on what we're looking for when we're talking about 3D games. Should we consider The Flight Simulator a 3D game? If so, than it was the first one release in January 1980 for Apple, not DOS. I still consider Wolfenstein the first one!
