JF Fury of the Clansmen isn't that bad and can serve an introductory     wargame.  There are rules to convert RPG characters in the Imperial     sourcebook for the RPG.  Dark Legion stats are provided for Fury in     the Algeroth sourcebook as well as an extended scenario that can be     played with the RPG or Fury. FOTC is, IMHO, very overpriced for what it is.. basically another SOTC.. but, yes, it would do as an intro game.. JF: PS: There are also three burn-before-reading paperbacks around JF:     written by hacks who never read the background. JFThere have also been comics (an Italian adaptation of the first novel, and JFa limited series from Acclaim), I have the Acclaim comics.. not all that worthwhile for background, nor as a painting guide.  However..
