there is a certain amount of nostalgia associated with these games and systems.  How many people have forgotten the ritual of the infamous NES blowjob in order to get their system to work.  So what if it was an onconvenience, I love the quirks about each system. Then you would have a ***FIELD DAY*** with the 32X.. For me the new games lack the passion and soul that their ancestors had. I agree. Programmers used to have to WORK and work hard for good results. The games were works of art!!!! I get the feeling that they are using blanket templates now that make things much easier.. egaman has been done into the ground and I think needs to be retired, even my beloved Castlevania series seems to be monotonous now. Sadly, I wasn't even too thrilled with Contra Shattered Soldier Give me CONTRA HARD CORPS any day, it just kills the PS2 version.. Hell yeah....after all *it is* the best version of Contra...EVER. Gameboy Advance Correct. That I why I have a Gamecube with a GBA p_layer_, because it almost feels like an extention of the Super NES in a wierd way... I need to pick up a Gamecube for that single reason.
Well, and for MGS: The Twin Snakes. Bel

Arcade games were 25 cents
I miss the days of arcades being the place to see the newest hot games. I remember when MK 2 arrived and the crowd around that machine was huge. I go to the arcade now and see (maybe) a handful of people in there...and a few are always playing skee-ball.

a portable is Hermie Hopperhead. When did that come out, early '96? I was really excited about this, but never found one in a store..
